• Affordable access to cycling: Low-cost or free bikes are provided through donations, recycling & rebuilding. Need a bike but limited funds? We can help!

• Repairs & Workshop Support: A flexible community workshop that offers servicing, self-repair space, guidance from highly qualified mechanics, & donated parts such as lights, wheels, tyres, etc.

• Routes & Riding Community: Rides focus on inclusion & social connection. Trips included Ossian, Aviemore, & more.

• Training & Education: Ongoing ‘look after your bike’ workshops with Cubs, schools, refugees & Cadets. In-house training and Velotech funding.

• Volunteering & Community Partnerships: we have a fair number of volunteers dropping in. We welcome those able to make a flexible commitment, we provide full training and support. Want to contribute to your community? Volunteer places available, we provide full training and support. Also a bike and kit at no cost, to long term volunteers!

Crieff Community ‘A’ (easy social),
‘B’ & ‘C’ Rides (time trials!)

There are regular bi-monthly social rides and rides instigated by local riders. The next bi-monthly social rides are 23rd May and the 13th & 27th June.

Our long standing 'Bike Packing Without the Faff' programme continues with Ossian in July full and Islay and Glenartney in the planning stage. We cycle out to accommodation, have a meal/social, comfortable overnight and then cycle back! Simple and a great start to bikepacking.

Time Trials & Couch to 50km

cycle crieff time trials

Time trials are all about you against you! Some notable times from the new riders and improvements such as Blair cracking his goal of 30min! The ‘C 2 50km' programme has been popular and we have been asked to continue. Graeme is a very knowledgeable and friendly host and the rides are great fun with lovely café stops and chat.

Routes

Sharing the local routes to help establish and promote Crieff as a two wheeled hub, supporting local and visiting cyclists. In addition we aim to encourage cycling as a social activity which enhances mental and physical well-being. Click here to explore our routes.

Repair

As a qualified aeronautical engineer, with over 30 years cycle maintenance experience, it was a natural step to set up a repair and support element for Cycle Crieff. We have Velotech technicians who are happy to support visiting and local cyclists to keep their bikes working.

Reuse

cycle crieff bike repairs and maintenance

We reuse donated/rescued bikes, providing minimum cost cycles for those who need them. We have access to bikes donated at the Crieff recycling centre. However we are happy to collect direct from any donor.

Cycle Crieff is Registered Charity (SCO54428). Registered in Scotland.
Donations are welcome.

Overnight bike rides are one thing that we really enjoy. The planning, the packing (as light as possible), the journey, the arrival somewhere new, the evening stay (maybe a social gin or beer), the exploration and the discovery of new routes.

There are so many ways to enjoy this. We don't always have to pack tents, etc. Leaving the load behind and exploring with a lighter bike is what this collection is about. (Please check with accommodation in case a small sleeping bag is needed).

Routes are descriptive, not prescriptive 😉 Click the button to view our routes on Komoot.

Other Activities

Once using Komoot, you can find the best rides in an area…as opposed to just any ride. You can search by ride (or walk) type, area or interest on their website. It’s set up so you can search a specific area, or just browse different regions, which is a fun way to start planning a stay in Crieff.
