Dr Bike, Maintenance Courses and Rural Communities

We have been running Dr Bike and maintenance courses since we started. Many are run in rural locations such as Killin and Crianlarich.

Dr Bike is usually a free service where we ask you to bring you bike to us and we will inspect it to make sure it’s safe to use. Any minor repairs that can be done will be. Parts are charged. We will give the owner a report and any recommendations.

Maintenance courses involve cyclists bringing their bike to the workshop where we will run them through checking their own bike for safe functionality and on going servicing such as lubrication and inflation. Any identified issues that can be dealt with will be and the owner will be part of the whole process.

Roadside & Trailside repairs! Ever got a puncture or snapped a chain? Gears jumping or allowing the chain into your spokes? Has your hub failed? Pedal fallen off, broken a hanger or slashed your tyre? Some of these are rare but would you know what to do or carry essential kit?

Get in touch with cyclecrieff@yahoo.com to join in these courses. Some are free but we always like a small homemade biscuit donation!

Cycle Crieff is a Registered Charity (SCO54428) supporting cycling in and around Crieff. Donations are welcome.
